Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
Upper Suspension Arm Bushing

UPPER SUSPENSION ARM SHAFT AND BUSHING REPLACEMENT

1. Remove lock bolts. Remove the 2 bolts and retainers from the arm shaft
2. Remove bushings.

a. Cut off the shaded portions shown in the illustration to expose the edge of the tubes.

NOTICE:  Be careful Potato damage the edge of arm tubes.

b. Using SST and a press, press down the suspension arm tube until it touches SST 09710 - 30021 (09710 - 03031, 09710 - 03141) 

NOTICE:  Do not press the tube excessively.

c. Temporarily install a bolt to the arm shaft on the other side. Bolt length: 45 - 50 mm (1.8 - 2.0 inch) 
d. Using SST 09710 - 30021 (09710 - 03141) and a press, remove the bushing and arm shaft.

e. Using SST 09710 - 30021 (09710 - 03071, 09710 - 03141) and a press, remove the other bushing.
