Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

Headlight & Dimmer Switch

1.

Obtain audio anti-theft code, if equipped, as outlined in  Technician Safety Information.

2.

On all models, disconnect battery ground cable.

3.

Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel.

4.

Remove steering column upper and lower covers.

5.

Disconnect switch connectors, remove screws and combination switch.

6.

Reverse procedure to install. Reset audio coded anti-theft system, if equipped, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.

Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove steering wheel, then upper and lower steering column covers.

3.

Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove steering wheel and upper and lower steering column covers.

4.

Disconnect wire terminal from horn contact (if equipped).

5.

Disconnect windshield wiper/washer switch connector, then using a small screwdriver, disengage windshield wiper/washer switch wiring from 
combination switch connector. Note position of wires.

6.

Remove screw, clamp and windshield wiper/washer switch assembly.

7.

Reverse procedure to install.
