4. Disconnect rear shock absorber. Remove the bolt and disconnect the shock absorber from the spring seat.

Installation Hint:  Torque to 71 Nm (53 ft. lbs.)  

5. Remove U-bolts.

a. Remove the 4 U-bolt mounting nuts.
b. Remove the spring seat, cushion and cushion retainer.
c. Remove the U-bolts.

Installation Hint:  Tighten the U-bolts so that the length of all the U-bolts under the spring seat are the same. Torque to 120 Nm (90 ft. lbs.) 

d. Remove the spring bumper.

6. Remove leaf spring.

a. Remove the nut, washer and hanger pin bolt.

Installation Hint:  After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut to 155 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).

b. Remove the 2 shackle pin mounting nuts.

Installation Hint:  After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut to 91 Nm (67 ft lbs.).

c. Remove the shackle pin and plate, and remove the rear leaf spring.
