Grease capacity: (Color = Black) 215 - 235 g (7.58 - 8.29 oz.)
6. ASSEMBLE BOOT AND INBOARD JOINT TULIP
a. Pack the inboard joint and boot with grease in the boot kit.
Grease capacity: (Color = Yellow ocher) 230 - 250 g (8.11 - 8.82 oz.)
b. Align the matchmarks placed before removal, install the inboard joint tulip to the drive shaft.
c. Temporarily install the boot to the inboard joint tulip.
7. ASSEMBLE BOOT CLAMPS TO BOTH BOOTS
a. Make sure that the boots are in the shaft groove.
b. Make sure that the boots are not stretched or contracted when the drive shaft is at standard length.
Drive shaft standard length: 436.2 ± 2.0 mm (17.173 ± 0.079 inch)
c. Place a new inboard joint large boot clamp.
d. Holding the clamp near the closing hooks, position the holes in the clamp's free end over the closing hooks with pliers.
e. Secure clamps by drawing the closing hooks together.
f.
To assemble the other boot clamps, pinch the clamps and adjust clearance with SST
NOTICE: Do not overtighten the SST.

g. Measure the clearance of the boot clamps with SST
SST 09240-00020
Clearance: 1.0 - 1.5 mm (0.039 - 0.059 inch)
