TUBE STEP NOISE

'01 - '02 Tacoma

Introduction 

A Tacoma Tube Step (by Steel Horse) Field Fix Hardware Kit has been created for dealers to repair abnormal noise conditions (i.e., squeaking, rattling,
and/or knocking) stemming from the Tacoma Tube Steps.

As of April 15, 2002 (Date Code: 15D02), all production kits have been produced without nut plates. Refer to the date code located on the part number
label.

Date Code nomenclature XXYZZ:

XX = Date

Y = Corresponding month (A = January, B = February, etc.)

ZZ = Year

The Tacoma Tube Step Field Fix Hardware Kit (PTS06-35020-HW) contains:

4 each: 8 mm Hex Bolts

4 each: 8 mm Lock Washers 

^

4 each: 8 mm Flat Washers

^

4 each: 8 mm Flange Nuts

NOTE:

Even though the original installation utilizes the same 8 mm hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers, they must be replaced with new hardware when
the replacement kit is installed.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
