Evaporator Case: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

COOLING UNIT REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

INSTALLATION HINT:  Evacuate air from refrigeration system.

See: Service and Repair/Charging the System
See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Leakage of Refrigerant

Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

Specific amount:

850 ± 50g (29.98 ± 1.76 oz.)

2. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE AND LIQUID TUBE

Remove the 2 nuts and both tubes.

Torque:

Liquid tube: 14 N.m (140 kg.cm, 10 ft.lb)
Suction hose: 32 N.m (330 kg.cm, 24 ft.lb)

REMOVAL NOTE:  Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

INSTALLATION HINT:  Lubricate 2 new O-ring with compressor oil and install the tubes.

3. REMOVE 2 GROMMETS

4. REMOVE DRAIN PIPE GROMMET

5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PARTS
