Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

Inspect and adjust throttle cable, as follows:
a. Depress the accelerator pedal all the way and check that the throttle valve opens fully. 

HINT: If the throttle valve does not open fully, adjust the accelerator link.

b. Fully depress the accelerator.

c. Loosen the adjustment nuts.

d. Adjust the outer cable so that the distance between the end of the boot and stopper on the cable is the standard. 

Standard boot and cable stopper distance: O - 1 mm (O - 0.04 inch).

e. Tighten the adjusting nuts.

Recheck the adjustments.
