NOTICE:  Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage the SST.

b. Install 2 nuts and bolt to the bracket at the lower part of the shock absorber and secure it in a vise.
c. Remove the lock nut in the center of the suspension support.
d. Remove the suspension support.
e. Remove the dust seal.

Remove the spring seat.

g. Remove the upper insulator.
h. Remove the coil spring.
i.

Remove the spring bumper.

j.

Remove the lower insulator.

INSPECTION 

Inspect shock absorber.
Compress and extend the shock absorber rod and check that there is no abnormal resistance or unusual operation sound.
If there is any abnormality, replace the shock absorber with a new one.

DISPOSAL 

1. Fully extend shock absorber rod.
2. Drill hole to discharge gas from cylinder.

Using a drill, make a hole in the cylinder, as shown in the illustration to discharge the gas inside.

CAUTION:  The discharging gas is harmless, but be careful of chips which may fly up when drilling.

REASSEMBLY 

1. Install lower insulator onto shock absorber.
2. Install coil spring and suspension support.

a. Using SST 09727-30021, compress the coil spring.

NOTICE:  Do not use an Impact wrench. It will damage the SST.

b. Install the spring bumper to the piston rod.
