Rear

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Remove rear seat cushion and seatback.
2. Remove rear wheel.

Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.) 

3. Remove shock absorber with coil spring.

a. Support the axle beam with a jack.
b. Remove the nut and bolt on power side of the shock absorber.

Torque: 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.) 

HINT:  At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt.

c. Remove the 2 nuts on upper side of the shock absorber.

Torque: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.) 

d. Remove the shock absorber with the coil spring.

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
