Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
With 4 Speed A/T

REMOVAL

1. Drain transaxle fluid.
2. Remove engine under cover.
3. Remove Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) drive shafts.

4. Remove side oil seal. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09308-00010 or equivalent, drive out the oil seals on both sides. 

INSTALLATION

1. Install side oil seals, as follows:

a. Using SST 09350-32014 (09351-32150, 09351-32130) or equivalents, drive in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the case surface.  

Oil Seal drive in depth:

LH side: 5.3 +/- 0.5 mm (0.209 +/- 0.020 inch).
RH side: 3.1 +/- 0.5 mm (0.122 +/- 0.020 inch).

b. Coat the lip of the oil seal with Multi-Purpose (MP) grease.

2. Install Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) drive shafts.
3. Install engine under cover.
4. Fill and check fluid level.
