Heater Control Valve: Customer Interest
A/C - Warm Air Even At Max Cool Setting

SERVICE HINTS

Condition:

Warm air is discharged through the heating system even when the temperature control lever is set at the maximum cool position.

Inspection Procedure:

Set the temperature control lever to the maximum cool position.

Push the water valve lever to the maximum cool position, as shown in the illustration. If the movement of the water valve lever is more than 3
mm, the water valve may not be in the fully closed position.

Correction:

1)

Set the temperature control lever to the maximum cool position.

2)

Remove the water valve, cable clamp (as indicated above) and push the water valve lever toward the cowl panel (maximum cool position).

3)

Push the outer cable housing of the water valve control toward the cowl panel and then re-clamp the outer cable.
