Required SSTs
Repair Procedure
1.
To start diagnosis of the vehicle for DTC P2742, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair
Manual:
Diagnostics: Automatic Transmission (A750): P2740, P2742 or P2743.
2.
Monitor transmission fluid temperature sensor No. 2 during diagnosis and watch for a short circuit to intermittently occur.
NOTE:
If a short circuit is occurring, the transmission fluid temperature sensor No. 2 will read 302°F (150°C).
3.
If no cause for the short circuit is found following the Repair Manual diagnosis, refer to the following sections on TIS to replace the transmission
wire harness (P/N 82125-351#0).

4.
Adjust fluid to proper level.

Refer to TIS, applicable model and model year Repair Manual, to properly adjust fluid level.
5.
Test drive vehicle after replacement of transmission wire harness to confirm repair effectiveness.
