Detach the claws carefully. If the housing lower claws are/were damaged, the housing lower should be replaced.

Remove the cover slide from the shift lever.
A.
Remove the original slide cover from the shift lever.
B.
Snap together the NEW cover slide A and B by hand.
NOTE:

Ensure B is completely seated to post on A.

The portion of the side cover labeled "Front" should be installed towards the PARK position of the shifter.
C.
Confirm slide cover A direction. It is shown on the back side of cover slide A.
D.
Assemble cover slides on the housing position indicator lower.
E.
Assemble the housing sub-assembly to the housing position indicator lower.
F.
Check function and feeling of the cover slide and shift lever.
