VSV For Evaporative Emission: Testing and Inspection

VSV FOR EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP)

INSPECTION

1. REMOVE VSV

Disconnect the connector and 2 EVAP hoses, and remove the screw and VSV.

2. INSPECT VSV FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance: 29 - 33 Ohms. at 20 °C (68 °F) 

If resistance is not as specified, replace the VSV.

3. INSPECT VSV FOR GROUND

Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.
If there is continuity, replace the VSV.

4. INSPECT VSV OPERATION
