Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Speed Sensor, Rear
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR
2. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR
a. Remove the 2 clamp bolts, clamp nut and 5 resin clips holding the sensor wire harness from the axle and the fuel tank.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
HINT: When installing the rear sensor wire harness, never use the removed resin clips, which are service parts. When replacing clips, set up
new resin clips at the same angle of the removed resin clips.
b. Remove the bolt and speed sensor from the axle carrier.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
HINT: After installation, check speed sensor signal.
