Two changes have taken place involving distributor assemblies for Vans equipped with the 4Y engine.
1.
To improve corrosion resistance of the distributor cap retaining bolts, the surface coating has been changed from a zinc plating to a 3 - layer resin
coating (see figure 1).

To minimize binding of the distributor housing to the cylinder block, the following changes have been made:
a)
The contact area between the cylinder block and the distributor has been reduced by machining the contact areas as shown in figure 2
below.
