W/4 WHEEL DRIVE

1.

Disconnect shock absorber and stabilizer bar from lower suspension arm, Fig. 26.

2.

Remove lower ball joint cotter pin and nut, then using suitable puller, separate lower suspension arm from ball joint.

3.

Mark relative position between front and rear adjusting cams, then remove attaching nut, adjusting cams and lower suspension arm.

4.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque lower suspension arm to ball joint nut to 83 ft. lbs., stabilizer bar attaching bolts to 14 ft. lbs., shock absorber
to lower suspension arm bracket to 70 ft. lbs. Lower vehicle to ground, then bounce vehicle several times to stabilize vehicle and torque adjusting
cam nuts to 152 ft. lbs. with suspension loaded.
