1. Remove the hood lock assembly. Follow the procedure in the Repair Manual for hood lock control cable assembly removal. Use the instructions for

vehicles "with Engine Hood Courtesy Switch".

2009 / 2010 Venza:
Vehicle Exterior - Door/Hatch - "Door/Hatch: Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly: Removal"

NOTE

Disconnect the control cable from the latch assembly but do NOT remove the control cable from the vehicle.

2. Install the replacement part, then re-attach the hood lock control cable assembly.
