Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
Installation

1AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Install a new gasket to the sensor.

(b) Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Installation

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation
5. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY See: Emission Control Systems/Evaporative Emissions System/Canister Purge

Control Valve/Service and Repair/Installation

6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Testing and Inspection
8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation

9. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service

and Repair/Front Shock Absorber/Installation

10. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

(a) Install the windshield wiper motor and link See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper Motor/Installation.

11. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
