Hall Sensor, Ignition Distributor  

Measurement:	Plot of voltage at the signal output of the Hall sensor in the ignition distributor.
Check Objective:	Operational check

Preparation  

Switch off the engine and ignition.  

Connections  

INPUT A	COM/TRIGGER
Connect the red measurement lead to pin 2 of the connection plug on the Hall sensor. Connect the ground lead to pin 3 or ground.

Procedure  

Start the engine and allow it to idle.  

Reference Curve

In general, malfunction of the Hall sensor in the ignition distributor leads to total failure, i.e. the signal plot cannot be measured. In the event of this, the Hall sensor must be replaced.
