Front Seat Belt, Remove and Install (Models F35,
F48, F69)
 Remove
|
Remove front seat belt panel, detach seat belt from front seat
(1).
Remove upper B-pillar inner panelling – see operation
"Upper Inner Panelling – B-pillar, Remove and Install (Models
F35, F48, F69)". Remove lower B-Pillar inner panelling – see
operation " Lower B-Pillar Inner Panelling, Remove and Install
(Model F35, F48, F69)".
Remove seat belt upper mounting (4).
Remove upper B-pillar additional weatherstrip – see
operation "Auxiliary Weatherstrip – B-Pillar, Remove and
Install", height adjuster (2), B-pillar outer cover, Reel Retractor
KM-6008 (3).
Separate bolt from seat belt, thread seat belt through inner
panelling of B-pillar.

Install
Thread seat belt through B-pillar inner panelling, close
shackle, reel retractor, B-pillar outer cover, height adjuster,
B-pillar additional weatherstrip, seat belt upper mounting, lower
B-pillar inner panelling, upper B-pillar inner panelling, seat belt
to front seat, front seat belt panel.
Caution
Bolts for inertia reel retractor, height adjuster and seat belt
are inserted with bolt locking compound.
Torque
Inertia reel retractor to B-pillar – 35 Nm / 26 lbf.
ft.
Height adjuster to B-pillar – 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Seat belt to height adjuster – 35 Nm /26 lbf. ft.
Seat belt to front seat – 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Caution
Only for vehicles with seat belt load limiter: the inertia reel
retractors must be replaced after every accident in which the seat
belt tensioner was triggered.
