Radiator, Remove and Install (Without Air
Conditioning)
Remove
Remove engine cover.
Remove fan housing – see operation "Fan Motor, Remove and
Install (Without Air Conditioning)".
Open coolant drain bolt – collect escaping coolant.
Detach upper coolant hose (2) from thermostat housing.
Detach compensation tank coolant hose (1) and lower coolant hose
(3) from radiator.
For version with automatic transmission: Detach oil cooler lines
(4) from transmission – remove fastening clips (5) for
this.
Caution
Note installation position of oil lines.

Remove
Remove front panelling – see operation "Front Panelling,
Remove and Install" in group "A".
Secure radiator at upper brackets.
Detach lower radiator bracket (1) from front axle body –
note dissimilar brackets.
Release radiator and remove downwards.
Transfer parts when replacing radiator.

Install
For version with automatic transmission: Attach oil lines to
radiator with new seal rings – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18.5
lbf. ft.
Insert radiator from below into upper bracket and secure.
Insert radiator in lower bracket and attach to front axle body
– tightening torque 15 Nm / 11 lbf. ft.
Release radiator.
Install
Install front panelling – see operation "Front Panelling,
Remove and Install" in group "A".
For version with automatic transmission: Attach oil lines to
transmission (quick-release fittings).
Attach coolant hoses.
Install fan housing – see operation "Fan Motor, Remove and
Install (Without Air Conditioning)".
Install engine cover.
Inspect
Charge cooling system – see operations "Cooling System,
Charge and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
For version with automatic transmission: check oil level –
see operation "Transmission Oil Level, Check and Correct" in group
"K".
