Bypass Valve, Replace
 Remove
|
Remove right front wheel.
Remove lower engine compartment cover – see operation
"Lower Engine Compartment Cover, Remove and Install" in group
"A".
Remove oil filter – see operation "Oil Filter,
Replace".
Remove thermostat housing (engine oil cooling) – see
operation " Thermostat Housing (Engine Oil Cooling), Remove and
Install".
Using tap (1) M10, 3rd stage – cut thread in closure disc.
Screw in M10 bolt and pull bypass valve out of seat.

Install
Drive in bypass valve to stop with drift (diameter approx. 15
mm).
Install thermostat housing (engine oil cooling) – see
operation " Thermostat Housing (Engine Oil Cooling), Remove and
Install".
Install oil filter – see operation "Oil Filter,
Replace".
Install lower engine compartment cover – see operation
"Lower Engine Compartment Cover, Remove and Install" in group
"A".
Install wheel, front right – tightening torque 110 Nm / 81
lbf. ft.
