Cause: Wrong material of the ribbed V-belt.
Production Solution: New ribbed V-belts are used in production as of engine number 17 517 375.
Remedy:
Special Part: No
Replace ribbed V-belt.
Working Procedure:
Install new ribbed V-belt.
- see working procedure "Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install", unit "J" in the corresponding Service Instructions.
Note: Only use new part numbers to replace ribbed V-belt.
