Intake Module (Intake Manifold), X 12 XE  

The intake module (intake manifold) is made of plastic instead of aluminium as in the X 10 XE.  
4 rubber seal rings are used to seal between the cylinder head and the intake module.  

The fuel pressure regulator is no longer located on the fuel distributor pipe. It has been integrated into the in-tank module as a result of the "non-return fuel system".  

The exhaust gas recirculation valve is now longer connected to the intake module via a duct in the cylinder head as in the X 10 XE, but is linked by a separate stainless steel pipe.
