Air Cleaner Housing, Remove and Install
 Remove
|
For X 12 XE: Detach engine transport shackle (1) from cylinder
head. Detach oil dipstick guide tube (2) from exhaust manifold and
swing to one side.
For Z 12 XE: Detach both engine transport shackles from cylinder
head. Disconnect wiring harness plug for mixture control oxygen
sensor. Detach mixture control oxygen sensor from exhaust manifold
with KM-6129 .
Disconnect heat shield (3) from exhaust manifold. Detach cover
(4) from oil filter housing and remove with oil filter (6). Detach
oil filter housing (7) from cylinder block.
For Z14XEP: Remove exhaust manifold 
 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants.

Install
|
Attach oil filter housing with new gasket (8) to cylinder block
– tightening torque 20 Nm
Slide new seal ring (5) on to oil filter housing cover and
attach oil filter housing cover with new oil filter insert to oil
filter housing – tightening torque 15
Nm

For X 12 XE: Attach heat shield and oil dipstick guide tube to
exhaust manifold – tightening torque 8 Nm .
For Z 12 XE: Attach heat shield to exhaust manifold –
tightening torque 8 Nm .
For Z 14 XEP: Install exhaust manifold
Install mixture control oxygen sensor in exhaust manifold using
KM-6129 – tightening torque 30 Nm
Connect wiring harness plug for mixture regulation oxygen
sensor.
Install both engine transport shackles on cylinder head.
Attach engine transport shackle to cylinder head –
tightening torque 20 Nm .
Inspect
Start engine and allow it to run until oil pressure telltale
extinguishes.
Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.
