Air Conditioning Controls (AC Switch), X 17 DTL When the AC switch is actuated (air conditioning ON), it transmits a signal to the engine control unit. Before the engine control unit sends a signal to the engine cooling module control unit to switch on the air conditioning, the relevant characteristic map is selected for adaptation of the fuel quantity. When the air conditioning is operating, the engine control unit also receives a signal from the AC pressure sensor. This signal is required for calculation of the addition fuel quantity.
