The main features of the hybrid control units are:  

 

•  Compact design  

•  Installed in engine compartment  

•  Separate wiring harness plug for instrument panel and engine wiring harness connections  

 

The hybrid design of the engine control units makes the modules compact and able to withstand impact, vibration and temperature.  

These factors make it possible to install the engine control units in the engine compartment, leading to a shorter wiring harness.  

The engine control units have separate wiring harness plugs for the instrument panel wiring harness and for the engine wiring harness. This separation simplifies disconnection of the body wiring harness from the engine control unit and therefore accelerates removal of the engine.
