Intermediate Gear (Driven), Remove and Install (AF
13-II)
 Remove
|
Remove transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove
and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)".
Attach Bracket KM-910 (2) to transmission. Attach assembly to
Bracket KM-113-2 (1) and lock horizontally.
Remove converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid
Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".
Remove converter housing from transmission housing – 15
fastening bolts (arrows).
Remove fluid pump – see operation "Fluid Pump, Remove and
Install (AF 13-II)".
Remove multi-plate clutch assembly C2- see operation
"Multi-plate Clutch Assembly C2, Remove and Install (AF
13-II)".
Remove brake band B1 – see operation " Brake Band B1,
Remove and Install (AF 13-II)".
Remove differential – see operation "Differential, Remove
and Install (AF 13-II)".

Remove parking lock detent spring (2 fastening bolts).
Remove guide (2) for parking lock claw – remove 2
fastening bolts (1) and (3) with sleeve and torsion spring No 2
(4).
Press out bolts (5) with torsion spring No. 1 with screwdriver
and remove claw for parking lock (6).
Remove fluid baffle plate (10) – 2 fastening bolts
(arrows).
Remove intermediate gear wheel (driven) (8) with thrust washers
(7) and (9). Note installation position of thrust washers.

Install
Install intermediate gear (driven) with thrust washers. Note
installation position of thrust washers.
Install fluid baffle plate – 7 Nm / 5 lbf ft.
Insert parking lock claw.
Insert bolt with torsion spring No. 1.
Install guide for parking lock claw – install 2 fastening
bolts with sleeve and torsion spring No 2 – tightening torque
10 Nm / 7.5 lbf ft.
Install detent spring (2 fastening bolts) – tightening
torque 10 Nm / 7 lbf. ft.
Install differential – see operation "Differential, Remove
and Install (AF 13-II)".
Install brake band B1 – see operation "Brake Band B1,
Remove and Install (AF 13-II)".
Install multi-plate clutch assembly C2- see operation
"Multi-plate Clutch Assembly C2, Remove and Install (AF
13-II)".
Insert fluid pump – see operation "Fluid Pump, Remove and
Install (AF 13-II)".
 Clean
|
Remove 3 gaskets (1) and (2) and clean sealing surfaces.
Caution
No gasket residue may fall into transmission housing.
Install
Insert 3 gaskets and apply sealing compound.
Attach converter housing to transmission housing (15 fastening
bolts) (arrows) – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf ft. Insert
fastening bolts (3) with locking compound.
Install converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid
Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".
Remove assembly from Bracket KM-113-2 and Bracket KM-910 from
transmission.
Install transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove
and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)".
