Fluid Pump, Remove and Install (AF 17)

  Remove

Remove transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)".

Attach Bracket KM-910 (2) to transmission. Attach assembly to Bracket KM-113-2 (1) and lock horizontally.

Remove converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".

Remove converter housing from transmission housing – 15 fastening bolts (arrows).

Remove fluid pump (1) from transmission housing -6 fastening bolts (arrows).

Remove fluid pump from transmission housing.

  Clean

Remove 6 gaskets (2 and 3) and clean sealing surfaces.

Caution

No gasket residue may fall into transmission housing.

  Install

Insert fluid pump into transmission housing.

Attach upper fluid pump to transmission housing (6 fastening bolts) – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.

Insert 6 gaskets (1) and (2) and apply sealing compound to transmission housing.

Attach converter housing to transmission housing (15 fastening bolts) – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. Insert fastening bolts (3) with locking compound.

Install converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".

Remove assembly from Bracket KM-113-2 and Bracket KM-910 from transmission.

Install transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)".
