Attach Bracket KM-910 (2) to transmission. Attach assembly to Bracket KM-113-2 (1) and lock horizontally.

Remove converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".

Remove converter housing from transmission housing – 15 fastening bolts (arrows).

Remove valve body – see operation "Valve body, Remove and Install (Transmission Removed) (AF 13-II)".

Remove fastening nuts (1).

Remove actuating lever to selector lever position switch (2).

Bend up retaining plate (4) and remove fastening nuts (3).

Remove detent screws (5 and 6).

Remover selector lever position switch (7) from selector lever shaft and transmission.

Remove parking lock detent spring (8) – 2 fastening bolts.

Remove guide for parking lock claw – remove 2 fastening bolts (1) with sleeve (3) and torsion spring No. 2 (2).

Press out bolts (4) with torsion spring No. 1 (5) with screwdriver and remove claw for parking lock (6).

Remove (7) bolt for parking lock.

Tilt actuating rod (1) for parking lock toward rear and remove from ratchet (2).

Cut spacing sleeve (3) at notch with hammer and corresponding chisel (4) and remove.

Drive out pin with suitable drift (5).

Remove transmission selector lever shaft (6) and ratchet.

Lever out seal ring (7) for transmission selector lever shaft with suitable screwdriver.

Drive in new seal ring for transmission selector lever shaft flush using suitable socket wrench (1).

Note correct installation position of seal ring.

Install transmission selector lever shaft (2) with ratchet (3) and new spacing sleeve (4) into transmission housing.

Drive in new pin with suitable drift (5).

Then slightly twist sleeve (arrow) and caulk on shaft groove.

Insert actuating rod for parking lock (6) in ratchet.

Insert bolt (1) for parking lock in transmission housing.

Insert bolt (2) for parking lock claw (4) with torsion spring No. 1 (3) in transmission housing.

Install guide for parking lock claw with fastening bolts (5), sleeve (7) and torsion spring No 2 (6) in transmission housing – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf ft.

Attach parking lock detent spring (9) with 2 fastening bolts (8) to transmission housing – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf ft.

Remove 3 gaskets (1 and 2) and clean sealing surfaces.

Caution

No gasket residue may fall into transmission housing.

  Install

Install valve body – see operation "Valve body, Remove and Install (Transmission Removed) (AF 13-II)".

Insert 3 gaskets and apply sealing compound.

Attach converter housing to transmission housing (15 fastening bolts) – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. Insert fastening bolts (3) with locking compound.

Place selector lever position switch on selector lever shaft.

Attach fastening nut to selector lever shaft with new retaining plate – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Secure fastening nut with retaining plate.

Attach actuator lever with new fastening nut to selector lever shaft – tightening torque 16 Nm / 12 lbf. ft.

Attach detent screws (1), do not tighten.

Install converter – see operation "Converter and/or Fluid Pump Seal Ring, Replace (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)".

Remove assembly from Bracket KM-113-2 and Bracket KM-910 from transmission.

Install transmission – see operation "Transmission, Remove and Install (AF 13-II/AF 17)".

Adjust selector lever position switch – see operation "Selector Lever Position Switch, Adjust (AF 13-II/AF 17/AF 20/AF 22)"

Tighten detent screws – tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.
