Use of fabric adhesive tape for wiring harness repairs

Condition:

The fabric adhesive tape (Part No. 90 241 170, Catalogue No. 22 37 980) specified in the service literature, e.g. TI-C-1, Group N-277 dated September 98, and the brochure "Wiring Harness Repair", KTA-1950 dated September 97, is not suitable for insulating or fixing cable bunches.

Remedy:

Use commercially available fabric adhesive tape (width: 16 to 20 mm) with good adhesion properties, even at high temperatures.

Note:

In spring 1999 an appropriate fabric adhesive tape will be included in the range of parts available from "Aftersales".
