Replace bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
(LHD)
 Remove

Detach Bowden cable from bonnet closure

Detach Bowden cable (3) from bonnet closure (4)

| 2. |
Detach wind protection panelling 
|
| 3. |
Release rubber grommet (1) from bulkhead
|
|
|
| 4. |
Detach lower inner panelling of instrument panel padding on
driver's side
|
| 5. |
Detach bonnet locking mechanism actuating lever
| • |
Unclip lever assembly from bracket (in direction of arrow)
|
|
| 6. |
Detach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
Note: Pull Bowden cable
out towards interior of vehicle.
|
|
|
Install
| 7. |
Attach bonnet locking mechanism Bowden cable
| • |
Pull the Bowden cable through the bulkhead towards the engine
compartment
|
|
| 8. |
Attach bonnet locking mechanism actuating lever
| • |
Clip the actuating lever assembly into the bracket
|
|
| 9. |
Attach the bulkhead grommet
|
| 10. |
Attach lower inner panelling of instrument panel padding on
driver's side
|
| 11. |
Install wind protection panelling
|
| 12. |
Route Bowden cable
Note: Make sure that it
has no kinks.
|
| 13. |
Attach Bowden cable to bonnet closure
| • |
Attach Bowden cable to bonnet locking mechanism
|
|
| 14. |
Adjust Bowden cable
Note: Adjust Bowden
cable so that there is no clearance where the end nipple rests
against the bonnet closure.

The bonnet closure must return to its initial position after
actuation from any setting.
|
|
|
