Replace upper rear panel > < Add-ons to 'Side panel, Replace' (Side panel removed) (Model L 70)

Replace rear panel

Important:   Note specification for welded, brazed and riveted joints LUREF_1.gif and body repair with structural adhesive !

  Remove

1.   Detach attaching parts


2.   Drill away rear panel from outside



3.   Drill away and remove rear panel from inside

  Install

Object Number: 10681319 Size: DEFAULT

4.   Prepare new rear panel part
•   Bend flange (1) and (2) inwards



5.   Apply corrosion protection adhesive system to vehicle



6.   Apply corrosion protection adhesive system to rear panel

7.   Adjust new rear panel to fit


8.   Bend back flange (1) and (2) to starting position



9.   Weld in rear panel

10.   Seal body, weld and brazing seams
Note:   Observe corrosion protection measures for seam seals.
11.   Apply underseal.
Note:   Observe corrosion protection measures for PVC protection.
12.   Seal cavity
Note:   Observe protective wax corrosion protection measures.
13.   Fit attaching parts
