Replace heater mats for front seat

  Remove

1.   Disconnect battery.
Note:   Note - waiting time for airbag deactivation, 1 min.
2.   Remove front seat seatbelt fastener panel (1) in direction of arrow
3.   Remove safety belt for front seat
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

4.   Shift seat as far forward as it will go
5.   Detach front seat at back
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
6.   Remove front seat
Note:   Separate wiring harness plug
•   Remove from front of guide

7.   Partially unfasten front seat backrest cover
•   Detach cover all round (I)
•   Detach 2x clamp (II)

8.   Detach side airbag
•   Unscrew 3x bolt (1)
9.   Remove side airbag
•   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug

10.   Expose airbag wiring harness
11.   Remove height adjuster panel
•   Unclip with a plastic wedge
12.   Detach height adjuster
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1) and remove lever

13.   Remove adjuster wheel for back seat backrest
•   Unclip using plastic wedge
14.   Remove outside panelling
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (1) and (3)
•   Remove panelling forwards from guide (2)

15.   Remove interior panelling
•   Unscrew bolt (1)
•   Remove panelling

16.   Remove seat wiring harness plug
•   Unclip plug
17.   Expose seat heating wiring harness
•   Detach wiring harness plug (arrows) and expose
– Remove 3x cable tie (1)

18.   Remove front seat backrest
•   Unscrew 4x bolt (1) and (2)
– Remove front seat backrest

19.   Detach upholstery
•   Detach upholstery from around seat frame (arrows)
•   Detach 16x upholstery clamps
•   Remove upholstery

20.   Carefully detach heater mat (1) from padding

  Install

21.   Glue heater mat to padding
22.   Attach upholstery
•   Position upholstery
•   Attach 16x padding clamps
•   Attach upholstery all round seat frame
23.   Attach front seat backrest
•   Tighten 4x bolt 35 Nm
24.   Insert seat heating wiring harness
•   Fix with 4 cable ties
25.   Install airbag wiring harness
26.   Install seat wiring harness plug
•   Clip in plug
27.   Install interior panelling
•   Insert panelling
•   Tighten bolt
28.   Install outside panelling
•   Insert panelling
•   Tighten 2x bolt
29.   Install adjuster wheel for back seat backrest
•   Clip in adjuster wheel
30.   Install height adjuster
•   Tighten 2x bolt
31.   Install height adjuster panel
•   Clip in panel
32.   Insert side airbag
•   Connect and lock wiring harness plug.
Note:   Note correct arrangement of wiring harness
33.   Attach side airbag
•   Tighten 3x bolt 5 Nm
34.   Attach front seat backrest cover
•   Attach 2x clamps
•   Attach cover all round
35.   Install front seat
Note:   Connect wiring harness plug.
•   Insert into front guide
36.   Attach front seat at back
•   Tighten 2x bolt 20 Nm
37.   Shift seat to starting position
38.   Attach safety belt to front seat
•   Tighten bolt 20 Nm
39.   Attach safety belt panel
40.   Connect battery.
41.   Program volatile memories
