CDC Control Unit (RHD), Replace
 Remove
| 1. |
Disconnect battery
| • |
Detach earth clamp from earth terminal
|
|
|
| 2. |
Remove panel, lower instrument panel padding
| • |
Detach steering wheel jacket
Note: Graphics show
steering column with steering wheel removed for clarity's sake
|
| • |
Unscrew and remove 2x bolt (arrow in both enlargements)
|
| • |
Fold upper steering wheel jacket upwards
|
| • |
Detach steering wheel lock panel (1)
|
|
|
| 3. |
Remove light switch centre
| • |
Press in light switch (1) and move to dipped beam position (3)
whilst keeping it pressed
|
| • |
Remove light switch centre (2)
|
|
|
|
| 4. |
Remove inner panelling, lower instrument panel padding
| • |
Unclip panelling from lower mounting and remove
|
|
|
|
| 5. |
if present: remove telephone system control unit (arrow)
| • |
Unclip control unit and set aside
|
|
|
|
| 6. |
Remove CDC control unit (1)
| • |
Disconnect wiring harness plug (2)
|
| • |
Unclip control unit from bracket
|
|
|
|
Install
| 7. |
Install CDC control unit
| • |
Connect wiring harness plugs
|
|
| 8. |
If present: install telephone system control unit
|
| 9. |
Install inner panelling, lower instrument panel padding,
driver's side
| • |
Clip panelling into lower mounting
|
|
| 10. |
Install light switch centre
| • |
Connect wiring harness plug and latch
|
| • |
Insert light switch centre - turn light switch to the off
position
|
|
| 11. |
Attach lower steering column jacket
| • |
Insert lower steering column jacket - tighten 3x bolt
|
| • |
Attach steering wheel lock panel
|
| • |
Fold down upper steering column jacket - tighten 2x bolt
|
|
| 12. |
Connect battery
| • |
Attach earth clamp to earth terminal
|
|
| 13. |
Program CDC control unit
|
| 14. |
Program volatile memories
|
|
