ABS-Control Unit, Replace (MK60 ESP)
Important: It is
essential to comply with the instructions for the hydraulic
modulator and the ABS-control unit 
 Remove
| 1. |
Remove hydraulic modulator with ABS-control unit
|
| 2. |
Attach mounting link to hydraulic modulator
| • |
Unscrew 2x sealing plugs (1) from hydraulic modulator
|
| • |
Position retaining link (2)
|
| • |
Screw 2x sealing plugs into the hydraulic modulator
|
|
|
|
| 3. |
Detach ABS control unit from hydraulic modulator
Important: Remove ABS-control
unit from hydraulic modulator without tilting it
|
| • |
Detach ABS control unit from hydraulic modulator
|
|
|
|
Install
| 4. |
Attach pump motor adapter to ABS-control unit
| • |
Press adapter (1) into guide (2)
Note: The assembly
force can be up to 130 N.

|
| 5. |
Attach new ABS-control unit to hydraulic modulator 5.5 Nm
| • |
Push ABS-control unit on to hydraulic modulator carefully
without tilting it
|
|
| 6. |
Detach retaining link from hydraulic modulator
| • |
Unscrew 2x sealing plugs from hydraulic modulator
|
| • |
Screw 2x sealing plugs into the hydraulic modulator
|
|
| 7. |
Install hydraulic modulator with ABS-control unit
|
| 8. |
When replacing the ABS control unit, perform programming with
TECH2 after installation
|
