Brake Calliper of Front Wheel Brake
Remove
2. |
Press piston out of brake calliper
• |
Clamp brake calliper in vice
|
• |
Insert hardwood block in brake calliper shaft
|
• |
Carefully press out piston with compressed air
|
|
3. |
Lever protective cap out of brake calliper housing carefully
with plastic wedge
|
4. |
Lever seal ring (1) carefully out of the groove in the brake
calliper housing with plastic wedge
|
5. |
Press sliding sleeve (2) out of housing
|
6. |
Clean piston and bore
Note: Only with brake
fluid or alcohol, never use other fluids.
|
7. |
Replace seal ring and protective cap
|
8. |
Check piston and bores for wear
Note: If piston is
defective or seized with rust: replace entire brake calliper
|
|
|
Install
9. |
Install piston in brake calliper
• |
Coat bore, piston and seal ring with brake cylinder paste
|
• |
Press in new sliding sleeve
|
• |
Insert new seal ring (1)
|
• |
Insert protective cap in brake calliper
Note: Lip (3) of the
protective cap must sit in the groove (2) on the brake calliper
|
• |
Push piston in carefully
Note: Until the inner
lip of the protective cap has engaged in the groove on the
piston.
Ensure that the piston is not askew.

Install brake calliper
