Con-rod Bearing, Replace
Remove
1. |
Remove upper part of oil pan
|
2. |
Detach oil intake pipe (2)
|
3. |
Remove oil baffle plate (1).
|
4. |
Remove con-rod bearing cap

Remove con-rod bearing cap
Note: Note
identification mark (3) on con-rod bearing cap and con-rod. Apply
identification mark if not present
|

5. |
Remove 2x bearing shell
|
6. |
Visually check components
• |
Con-rod bearing journal, con-rod bearing cap, bearing
shells
|
|
7. |
Check con-rod bearing clearance
|
Install
8. |
Insert bearing shells
• |
Degrease con-rod bearing journal
|
|
9. |
Install con-rod bearing cap
• |
Clean con-rod bearing journal and con-rod bearing shell and wet
with engine oil
|
• |
Coat threaded pin with MoS2 lubricating paste
Note: Select a suitable
lubricating paste from the parts catalogue
|
Important: Narrow bead on con-rod
bearing cap (arrow) points to engine timing side
|
• |
Tighten 2x new nuts 25
Nm+100°+15°
Note: Coat seat of nut
with MoS2 lubricating paste

Install oil baffle plate

Install oil intake pipe
|
12. |
Install upper part of oil pan
|
