Alternator Bracket, Remove and Install > < Coolant Pipe, Remove and Install

Coolant flange, remove and install

  Remove

1.   Remove coolant pipe
2.   Remove alternator
•   Disconnect wiring harness connector (3)
•   Detach alternator wiring harness (4)
– Unscrew nut
•   Unscrew upper bolt (1)
•   Unscrew lower bolt (5)
– Counterhold against nut (arrow)
•   Unclip wiring harness for catalytic converter temperature sensor

3.   Remove alternator support
•   Unscrew 4x bolts (arrows)

4.   Remove coolant flange
•   Detach coolant hose from coolant flange.
– Release clamp
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (1)
Object Number: 2413585 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

5.   Clean sealing surface
6.   Fit coolant flange
•   Apply sealing compound
•   Tighten 2x bolt 24 Nm
•   Attach coolant hose to coolant flange
– Fasten clamp
7.   Install alternator bracket
•   Tighten 4x bolts
– Tighten 3x bolts (M10) 48 Nm
– Tighten bolt (M12) 68 Nm
8.   Install alternator
•   Clip in wiring harness for catalytic converter sensor
•   Tighten upper bolt 19 Nm
•   Tighten lower bolt 46 Nm
– Counterhold against nut (arrow)
•   Fix wiring harness plug
•   Attach alternator wiring harness
– Tighten nut
9.   Install coolant pipe
