Removing and installing charge air pipe > < Replacing the air cleaner housing

Replace air intake pipe

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection from earth terminal
– Slacken nut
3.   Raise vehicle by its full height
4.   Detach the lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
5.   Disconnect air intake pipe (1) from turbocharger
•   Release clamp

6.   Lower vehicle by its full height
7.   Remove engine cover
8.   Remove air cleaner housing
9.   Remove air intake manifold (1)
•   Detach engine vent hose (3)
– Release clamp
•   Unscrew bolt (2)

  Install

10.   Install air intake pipe.
•   Attach engine venting hose
– Fasten clamp
•   Tighten bolt 9 Nm
11.   Install air cleaner housing LUREF_1.gif
12.   Install engine cover
13.   Raise vehicle by its full height
14.   Attach air intake pipe to turbocharger
Important:   Follow specified installation order
•   Put seal on turbocharger port
•   Fit air intake manifold pipe
– Tighten clamp 3.5 Nm
15.   Install lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
16.   Lower vehicle by its full height
17.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
– Tighten nut
18.   Program volatile memories
19.   Close bonnet
