Replace crankshaft seal ring (front) > < Seal Ring - Camshaft, Replace

Replace crankshaft seal ring (rear)

  Remove

1.   Remove thrust plate and clutch disk LUREF_1.gif
2.   Remove flywheel
•   Block flywheel using KM-652 (1)
•   Unscrew 8x bolts
•   Take out flywheel

3.   Remove rear crankshaft seal ring
Important:   Do not damage sealing surface.
•   Prise out seal ring (1) with suitable tool

4.   Install rear crankshaft seal ring
•   Position KM-658-2 on crankshaft journal
•   Slide seal ring onto KM-658-2
•   Drive in flush using KM-658-1 (1)

  Install

5.   Clean sealing surfaces.
6.   Clean flywheel
7.   Insert centring sleeve
8.   Clean the thread
9.   Fit flywheel
•   Position flywheel
•   Block flywheel using KM-652 (1)
•   Tighten 8x new bolt 29.4 Nm + 60° + 15° 1)
10.   Install thrust plate and clutch disc LUREF_1.gif

11.   Check and correct engine oil level
•   Observe specified engine oil quantity
1 ) Re-cut thread before re-use and insert bolt with locking compound (red). The assembly time including the torque test must not exceed 10 min.
