The following test steps must be performed in the given order. If a fault is found in one test step, the subsequent test steps can be skipped.
Trouble Codes
If trouble code P1901 with the symptom 75 has been recognised:
- Read and (if applicable) apply Field Remedy 1976
If trouble code P1900 with the symptom 57 has been recognised:
- Select the following Functional System:
Electronic Diesel Injection System EDC 16C9/16C39, Z 19 DT, Z 19 DTH, Z 19 DTL
- Delete trouble codes
- Perform the diesel particulate filter regeneration.
Function Checks
- Verify mechanical system functions/components
(leakage, blockage)
- Exhaust system
- Catalytic Converter
- Diesel Particulate Filter
- B173 Sensor - Temperature, Exhaust Gas
- B174 Sensor - Temperature, Exhaust Gas
- B175 Sensor - Pressure, Exhaust Gas
Check the hoses for leakage or blockage before replacing the component.
Perform the following troubleshooting:
After successful test/fault repair proceed to the next test step
