Replace fuel return damping case

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection from earth terminal
– Slacken nut
3.   Remove engine cover
4.   Remove fuel return damping case (2)
•   Remove fuel return line (4) with KM-796-A
•   Remove 2x hoses (1)
– Undo 2 clamps
•   Detach oil leak line (3)
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (arrows)
Object Number: 3446062 Size: DEFAULT


Important:   If the oil leak line is detached from the damping case, it must be replaced.
5.   Remove 4x oil leak line (1)
•   Release 4x retaining clamp (arrows)
Object Number: 2408582 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

6.   Install oil leak line
•   Clip 4x oil leak line into injector
7.   Attach fuel return damping case
•   Attach oil leak line
•   Attach fuel return line
•   Attach 2x hoses
– Attach 2x clamps
•   Tighten 2x bolt 9 Nm
8.   Install engine cover
9.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
– Tighten nut
10.   Program volatile memories
11.   Close bonnet
