Fuel Pressure Regulator (High Pressure),
Replace
Warning: When
working on the Common Rail system, wait for one minute after
switching off the engine. The system reduces the pressure
automatically.
Important: When
working on the fuel system, cleanliness is vital as even very small
particles of dirt can lead to faults in engine operation or in the
fuel system. Seal open fuel connections with suitable sealing plugs
1) . Sealing plugs must only be used once.
Remove

Disconnect battery

Detach ground connection from ground terminal
|

4. |
Detach engine vent hose (1) from air intake pipe
• |
Disconnect quick-release fitting
|
|
|
|
5. |
Place collecting basin underneath.
|
6. |
Detach fuel return line (2)
• |
Disconnect quick-release fitting
– |
Seal fuel line with KM-807
|
|
|
7. |
Remove pressure regulator for accumulator (1)
• |
Disconnect wiring harness connector.
|
• |
Unscrew screw-in thread (3)
Note: Counterhold
against pressure regulator
|
|
|
|
Install
8. |
Install pressure regulator for accumulator
• |
Tighten screw-in connection 60
Nm
Note: Counterhold
against pressure regulator
|
• |
Connect wiring harness plug
|
|
9. |
Attach fuel return line
• |
Connect quick release fitting
|
|
10. |
Attach engine vent hose to air intake pipe
• |
Connect quick release fitting
|
|
12. |
Connect battery
• |
Attach ground connection to ground terminal
|
|
13. |
Program volatile memories
|
