| Complaint: |
Customer complain about smoke and/or
sizzling noise from cylinder head area. Further complaints might be
bad odur as a result of fuel or exhaust gas. |
| Cause: |
Injector bracket gets loose causing the
injector to become loose as well. Once happened the loose bracket
causes gas from the combustion chamber to bypass the injector and
to cause some smoke and/or sizzling noise. |
| Production: |
Modified brackets have been implemented in
production as of engine number: Z13DTx3238694, 23-Jun-2009. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint please remove injector from
injector duct, clean the injector (ultrasonic, etc.),
clean the injector duct according to the service instruction
given in TIS2Web and fit injector with a new copper seal.
A new bracket (partnumber: 55227185 /cataloguenumber: 8 21 008)
is now available. Replace both brackets, not only the affected one!
