Spark Plugs, Remove and Install > < Throttle Valve Solenoid Valve, Replace

Replace throttle valve module

  Remove

1.  
1. Remove air cleaner housing - Z16XE1 LUREF_1.gif
2. Remove air cleaner housing A16XER, Z16XER LUREF_1.gif
3. Remove air cleaner housing A18XER, Z18XER LUREF_1.gif

2.   Old version:
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug (2)
•   Detach engine venting pipe (1)
– Disconnect quick-release fitting
•   Place collecting basin underneath.
•   Detach 2 coolant hoses (3) and (4) from the air/fuel mixture preheater
– Unclip 2x coolant hose
– Undo 2 clamps

3.   Modified version:
•   Disconnect wiring harness plug (2)
•   Detach engine venting pipe (1)
– Disconnect quick-release fitting
•   Place collecting basin underneath.
•   Detach the fuel/air mixture preheater coolant supply hose (3)
– Disconnect the coolant hose
– Release clamp
•   Detach the fuel/air mixture preheater coolant return hose (4)
– Disconnect the coolant hose
– Disconnect quick-release fitting

4.   Remove throttle valve module
•   Unscrew 4x bolts (1)

  Install

5.   Install throttle valve module
•   Use new gasket
•   Tighten 4x bolt 8 Nm
6.   Old version:
•   Attach 2 coolant hoses to the air/fuel mixture preheater
– Attach 2x clamps
7.   Modified version:
•   Attach the fuel/air mixture preheater coolant supply hose
– Fasten clamp
•   Attach the fuel/air mixture preheater coolant return hose
– Connect quick release fitting
Note:   Must engage audibly!
8.   Fix wiring harness plug
9.   Attach engine venting hose
•   Connect quick release fitting
Note:   Must engage audibly!
10.  
1. Install air cleaner housing - Z16XE1 LUREF_1.gif
2. Install air cleaner housing A16XER, Z16XER LUREF_1.gif
3. Install air cleaner housing A18XER, Z18XER LUREF_1.gif
