  • The sensor signal at control unit terminal 16, 48 (XC54) is noisy.

Note:

Sensor and wiring harness are influenced by interference voltage or have intermittent contacts.

Effect:

  • Engine telltale is switched on

  • The sensor signal at control unit terminal 31, 47 (XC54) is noisy.

  • Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 2.5 s .

Effect:

  • Engine telltale is switched on

Mass Or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

  • Engine running in engine speed range 608 rpm to 5000 rpm
  • Mass air flow sensor signal is less than 0.5 kg/h

  • Above condition must be fulfilled for at least 2.5 s .

Effect:

  • Engine telltale is switched on

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit High Voltage

  • Throttle position sensor voltage is greater than 4.9 V
    (Short circuit to voltage)
  • Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 5 s .

Replacement Value:

  • The control unit calculates with a replacement characteristic map depending on the engine speed and throttle valve position.

Effect:

  • All adaptations are locked.
Concerned Terminals:

Replacement Value:

Effect:

  • Instead of the input value the control unit uses a replacement value
