| Complaint: |
Customer complain about vibration and
rattling noise from poly-v-belt drive, mainly with cold engine and
lower engine speed ( < 1500 rpm). Often retailer/drivers assume
that the noise is emanating from exhaust manifold/assembly. |
| Cause: |
Tolerances in poly-v-belt drive may result
in vibration of belt. |

Remedy:
In case of customer complaint replace existing generator pulley by an
overrun pulley (partnumber: 55560294 / cataloguenumber: 12 04 484) by
using special tool KM-6372.
Note: The generator pulley/overrun pully
has to be installed with 85 +/- 5 Nm.
