| Complaint: |
Customer complains about lack of power and
SVS on, DTC P1901(75) set. |
| Cause: |
DPF is clogged because of unfavourable
customer driving profile (e.g. excessive short distance
driving). |
| Production: |
Modified software informing customer to
change driving profile will be introduced as running change.
Breakpoint will be communicated upon availability. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint ask customer about personal driving
pattern. In case of unfavourable customer driving profile advice
customer that the diesel particulate filter needs regeneration
(cleaning). This only works when a certain profile is applied,
e.g. driving approximately 15 minutes when engine is warm. In order
to avoid damages to the DPF system customer has to ensure that
approximately all 500 km a proper regeneration will take place.
As of TIS 2000-DVD, version 75 a new SPS software is available which
will advice the customer with a flashing glow indicator in instrument
to change driving pattern (as mentioned in the service manual).
